WATERVILLE, Minn. — Robert Francis Joseph Sr., 82, of rural Waterville, Minn., formerly of Gloucester, died Monday, March 2, 2009 at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato, Minn.
Robert, the son of Walter and Ellen Joseph, was born on April 13, 1926 in Gloucester. He served in the U.S. Navy from Oct. 14, 1943 until April 22, 1946. Robert worked for the water department for the City of Gloucester. He moved to Minnesota two years ago.
He is survived by his son, Bob (Linda) Joseph of Waterville; three grandchildren, Craig Joseph of St. Paul, Eric Joseph of Waterville, and Amy Joseph in Korea; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Priscilla Culbert; and brother Walter Joseph Jr.
ARRANGEMENTS: Private family services were held at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, where Robert was buried. Arrangements were with Le Center Funeral Home.
