ROBERT LUCAS Obituary
ROBERT M., DDS, MD, Ph.D.
Bob received a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University and his DDS from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He completed his Oral Pathology residency, Master of Science and Ph.D. degrees in Experimental Pathology at Temple University School of Medicine. He then pursued and completed his MD degree. This was followed by an Anatomic/Clinical Pathology residency at Temple University School of Medicine. He was board certified in Oral Pathology and Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
Relatives and friends are invited to share in Bob's Life Celebration on Saturday, January 21, 2017, beginning 9:30 A.M., followed by his Funeral Service, 11 A.M., at DEAN/GEITNER/GIVNISH OF FOX CHASE, 7900 Oxford Ave. (at Borbeck St.). Interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Morris-ville PA. Memorial contributions in Bob's memory can be made to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 1648 Huntingdon Pike, Meadow-brook PA 19046. Robert's daughter Stacey will be running in the 2017 Boston Marathon in honor of her father and the American Cancer Society, donations may be made through the following link: https://www.crowdrise.com/americancancersocietyboston2017/fundraiser/staceylucas2

I just heard the news today 2-13-20 that he was gone. he was a brilliant dentist far ahead of his time. I also was friendly with his wife and cut his hair for awhile. God speed Bob....until we all meet again.

I had worked with Dr Lucas for about 20 years. He was the best! He was a dedicated pathologist and dentist. He was funny with a great sense of humor, and, you knew that he loved what he did. I am going to miss him so much. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Lucas. I worked with him at quest for many years, and he was just one of the best . I have many great memories that I will cherish. He was professional, and easy to talk to and work with. Great sense of humor , and just a great person. Rip Dr. Lucas .

Very difficult news to hear... We have been with Dr. Lucas for 35 years and he always made us laugh. We all have lost a truly brilliant and kind man. God bless him and his family...you are in our prayers.

Something came to mind just now. Every time I went to Dr Lucas, he would always talk to me when he was working on my mouth. I always said "why do you do that when you know I can't answer you"? We would always laugh about that. This Christmas I was ordering a game for my grandson called "Whatca Mouth " where you have to talk with this plastic thing in your mouth. I said to my family that I have to buy this for Lucas!
To the Lucas family, please know he was a great man. I will truly miss him.

I am so sad. Dr Lucas has been our family dentist for over 40 years. We just received the news that he was retiring. We were shocked by that news. I always admired how active he was. I will miss him immensely.

I am very saddened to hear of the loss of Dr. Lucas. He was a very nice person, a great doctor, and good conversationalist. I really looked forward to working with him when he came to Jeanes Hospital to fill in whenever needed. He will be truly missed by us all. My condolences to the family.
