Robert Manuszak Obituary
Mr. Robert Gene Manuszak, age 74, of Blairsville, GA., passed away Thursday September 29, 2022, at his home following a brief illness. The son of the late Robert Julius Manuszak and the late Evelyn Elizabeth Watson Manuszak was born on September 03, 1948 in Southbend, IN. He obtained his Masters degree and had been a teacher at LaBelle High School. He moved to the area 22 years ago. He loved fishing, college football, professional baseball, and Indiana University. He was a loving husband, brother and uncle. Mr. Manuszak was of Catholic faith.
Mr. Manuszak is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 52 years, Jane Manuszak of Blairsville, one sister and brother in law Judy and Mike Gallant of Morrill, ME., and several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial service may be held at a later date and will be announced.

I still find it difficult to believe that Zak is no longer with us. I remember him as a young man who was gifted in many ways, and it is great consolation to know that he became such a loved and respected man. A life well-lived! RIP, Zak.

I was very sorry to hear of Zak's passing last year. I can well remember hanging out with him at Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity in 1969, the fun we had there, his athletic ability, and his moves on the dance floor. Hope you're doing well. Best wishes always. --Jeryl

I was a Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity brother of "Zak" at IU, and remember him well and favorably. He was a great athlete and a gifted personality who enlivened all our activities. Sorry we lost touch over the years, but he lives on in the memories of our youth! Perry

I am very sorry to hear the news of his passing. Mr. Manuszak was my teacher in high school. He was a terrific teacher. He was one of my favorites. He would joke with the students and built rapport with them. I will be in prayer for his family.

Bob & Jane were the first folks we met on arriving in Young Harris 17 years ago, and you couldn’t ask for a better friend and neighbor. Bob was a funny, and entertaining man, who enjoyed life, and made it enjoyable for those folks around him. He will be sorely missed. Jane, our hearts go out to you for this tragic loss, and you’ll both be in our thoughts and prayers.

I had not seen Bob for years. I was in Florida and ask my mother (Sue Hover) about Bob and Jane. She said that she thought Bob and Jane were somewhere in Georgia. I looked up Bob on-line and found out about his passing. I am so sorry to hear about the news. I had so much respect for that man. God be with Jane during this difficult time. Prayers!
