Robert Neufeld

Robert 'Bob' Neufeld Robert (Bob) Neufeld passed away on November 16, 2009 on the farm near Borden, his lifelong home. Bob was born on September 4, 1951, the first of three boys and spent most of his life farming initially with his father, and later with his brother. On October 20, 1984, he married Velora Redekop, and soon became the father of their two children, Gordon (1987) and Heidi (1989). Bob enjoyed his many business ventures, including working with Gerald to run their hog and grain farm, as well as their trucking business. He also was part of a residential development business in his later life. Though Bob suffered poor health throughout his years, he found amusement in his hobbies of building farm machinery, reading, cooking and enjoying a variety of music. In 2005, Bob began dialysis and continued treatments until his death. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Marie Neufeld; and his younger brother, Dwight. Bob will be missed by his wife, Velora; children, Gordon and Heidi; brother, Gerald (wife Lore, children Darren and Nicole); two favorite uncles, Peter and John Fehr; four brothers-in-law, Carl (Louise), Ted (Lorraine), D.J. (Cheryl), Jon (Valerie) and their families. A private graveside service for family will be held at the Borden Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to a gathering to celebrate Bob's life at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 20, 2009 at the Langham Evangelical Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. DALMENY FUNERAL HOME is entrusted with the arrangements. (254-2022)
