I will always miss my Uncle Bob, who was my godfather in the Roman Catholic Sacrament of Baptism right after I was born in the early days of October 1949, just as I will always miss his sisters, my mother Margaret "Peggy" Noah Higgins, who passed away in 2010, and my uncle's sister Frances, with whom I kept in phone contact right up to the last month of her life, in July 2022, when she passed away in Los Angeles, California. I am grateful for the enduring friendship I have with my uncle's grown children, my cousins Robert, Jr., Joy and Susan, all of Jamestown, North Carolina, and surrounding communities. I speak to Joy and Bob Jr. frequently by telephone. My uncle Bob always had kind words of comfort and guidance for me during the difficult times throughtout my life. May he rest in peace forever with the Lord and the other deceased members of the Noah and Higgins families. -- Bruce Christopher Higgins, New York, NY, July 18, 2025
