Robert Michael "Mic" Ramey

PALMYRA, Mo. -- Robert Michael "Mic" Ramey, 56, of Florissant, Mo., formerly of Palmyra, died Saturday (May 23, 2009) in his home. Mic was born June 2, 1952, in St. Joseph to Robert Sumner and Velma June Triggs Ramey. Mic married Lesa Yount on Oct. 10, 1982, in Hannibal. She survives. Mic was the owner and operator of Rocket Transport in Granite City, Ill. He was a 1970 graduate of Palmyra High School and a third-degree Mason. In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, Sheridan Davis and her husband, Shawn, of St. Peters, Robert Jocco Ramey of Florissant, Lucas Hunter Ramey of Florissant and Kate Ashlynd Ramey of Florissant; his grandchildren, Gunnar and Sumner Davis of St. Peters, and Riley, Hunter and Grace Ramey of Florissant; one sister, Janet Thurman of Palmyra; two brothers, Jerry Ramey of Livingston, Mont., and Gregg Ramey of Vail, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary R. "Booge" Ramey. SERVICES: 3 p.m. Saturday in the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel, Palmyra.
