Robin Ball
February 23, 2012
Bob was a great friend to me and my family for many years. Bob and my Mom ( Dorothy Ball ) were on The Board at First Presbyterian Church, Verdun for many years. Every Sunday he use to tell me all the bad thing my Mother did to make me laugh and get a rise our of her. She'd tell him he's not counting the money right. He was part of my extended family and I am sad to hear that he is no longer with us. I am sure he's teasing my Mother up in heaven. It's funny how they both were born in the same year and passed away in the same year. God Bless you Bob. Robin, Carol & Courtney Ball.

Bob was my Sunday School teacher at First Pres - Verdun - way back when. He taught me how to colour properly ("don't they teach you this at school?") & I remembers his wild elbows from a teacher - student broomball game - always had a smile and cheered you up.

Bob was an amazing person, always giving of himself for others. I often admired how he still volunteered at his age and he once told me "doing things keeps me going and keeps me young" You sure were; young at heart BoB, you will be missed.

I first met Bob at Dawson Community Center in 1997. He loved to bug me because he could get a rise out of me and I loved every minute. Bob was always there with a smile. I used to sneek off and join him and Morris in the janitor's office to sit and chat.
Once I had my first child Scott & I started to see less of Bob but he used to call, come for a visit and even came to our son's Christening. In 2001 we moved to Ontario and we lost touch. In 2006 we moved back and often bumped into Bob in and around Verdun.
Scott and I loved this man and affectionally called him "Old Man Bob".
You will be missed Bob. Goodbye and give them hell where ever you may be.
