Robert Summersett Obituary
He was born in Florence, a son of the late Christine Cunningham Summersett and Marion Carl Summersett Jr. He graduated from McClenghan High School and attended Wingate College. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and a member of the Cattlemans Association. He was formerly employed with Myrick Construction Co. of North Carolina, formerly employed by the State of South Carolina and currently employed with Fludds Summersett Security of Florence. Bobby was an organ donor.
Surviving are a son, Kent (Traci) Summersett of Florence; two brothers, Ronnie (Beth) Summersett of Florence and Danny (Sheri) Summersett of Rockingham, N.C.; a sister, Joy (Dick) Smith of Newark, Del.; two grandchildren, Duncan and Saige Summersett of Florence; fiancĩe, Anne Murray Ray of Florence; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Florence Humane Society Building Fund, 1007 Stockade Drive, Florence, SC 29506.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the residence.

I never knew Bobby, as he came to McClenaghan after I left, but certainly remember you, and times that seemed so much simpler and filled with more sunhine and joy than this.
