Robert Testa Obituary
He was born June 8, 1962, in Hartford. Rob lived in Broad Brook most of his life and graduated from Howell Cheney Technical High School. He was employed at Hamilton Standard as a 1st class machinist operating Bridgeport machines and was considered one of the best machinists of his day. He was an animated character and enjoyed sharing laughs with his friends and family.
Rob is survived by his mother, Dolores Rittlinger Testa, of Ashford; and his son, Dominic Testa, of Seaport, New Hampshire; three brothers, James Testa of South Windsor, Steve Testa and his wife, Cathy Testa, of Broad Brook, and Joseph Testa of Rockville; three sisters, Mary Cook and her husband, Buzby Cook, of Elliot, Maine, Diane Testa of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, and Laurie Noll and her husband, John Noll, of Eastford. He also leaves his niece, Katie Noll; and nephews, Hyatt Cook and Maxwell Testa. Rob was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Testa; and his two brothers, Patrick and Genaro Testa.
A Catholic Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at Saint Philip the Apostle Church on 64 Pompey Hollow Road (Route 44), Ashford. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

My thoughts are with all of you...as I read about Rob, I also remembered how animated he was. He was one of those people that walk into a room and you can't help but notice him. He was lively and just a had a friendly, gregarious way about him. Though I have not seen him in years, I remember exactly how he looked and how he sounded...I guess that will make him forever young in my heart and memory.
