I knew Bob through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America program. My father died when I was 3 and growing up it was usually just me and my mom a lot of the time, as well as my older sister and her husband and son. Bob was like an extra grandfather to me since all of my grandparents also passed when I was young and most of my extended family lived far away.
He was a tremendously positive influence on me as a kid and I owe a portion of my success and happiness to his example and mentorship. I'm so grateful he was able to fly out to California for my wedding in 2016, but also saddened that he never got a chance to meet my children.
I'll remember him so, so fondly, and look forward to sharing stories about him with my own children and grandchildren.
What a tremendous and amazing man.

Bob was such a sweet person. I remember singing with him in the Cowtown Chorus and of course as Rocky´s father in law. He always had a great smile and was just a wonderful person to be around. I know you´re enjoying your new Angelic chorus members in heaven!

Bob was a member of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America (SPEBSQSA), now known as the Barbershop Harmony Society. Bob sang with the Cowtown Chorus (left, center) and the HEB Chapter´s chorus (right). He got me involved in the BHS, too!
