Robert Venditti Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 9, 2020.
Robert (Bob) Venditti, Sr., of Barto, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 9, 2020, at the Saint Joseph Medical Center in Reading, Pennsylvania. Bob was 77 years old, born on May 28, 1943 in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Loreto and Angelina Cross Venditti, the brother of the late Larry Venditti, and the beloved husband of the late Rose Marie Mascaro Venditti. Bob was a 1961 graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School, and during those years, he became an accomplished musician, playing the saxophone and clarinet. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served between 1961 and 1964. Because of his musical skills, Bob was offered a position in the Navy's Presidential Band. He declined that offer, choosing instead to "travel the high seas" as a gunman on his assigned ship. Shortly after his Naval service, Bob met the love of his life, Rose Marie Mascaro, whose father was the founder of well-known local waste company J. P. Mascaro & Sons. Bob and Rose Marie were married at the Visitation B.V.M. Catholic Church in Trooper, Pennsylvania, on June 1, 1968, and they were blessed with three children, a daughter and two sons. Bob was an active member of the St. Mary's Parish in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. The bulk of Bob's working career was spent in the employ of the B.F. Goodrich Company, a nationally-recognized tire manufacturer. Outside of work, Bob had personal interests that were many and varied. In addition to his well-developed musical skills, Bob had a real love of the outdoors, where he enjoyed camping, fishing, and, most of all, boating on the Chesapeake Bay. Bob loved spending time with his family, and he is survived by his three children, Rose Marie Lebo; Robert Venditti, Jr. and his wife, Nicole; and Dustin Venditti; and by three grandchildren, Michael Lebo, Dylan Safranek, and Brody Safranek. Relatives and friends are invited to Bob's Life Celebration on Thursday May 27, at 11 AM. Calling hours will be from 10 AM to 10:50 AM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike, 610-277-7000. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery.

Dear family.. Always thought of your dad as a happy and upbeat type of guy who could cheer you up just by giving you his loving “smile.” We were amazed to read he was an accomplished musician ...what an honor to be picked for the Presidential band, but he had other ideas for the Navy. I’m sure you are proud children. .. Anchors AwayBob! May he RIP as we pray in Jesus name,.Amen.
