Roberta FARKAS Obituary

March 27, 2015 – Calgary, AB
Roberta Farkas passed away peacefully Friday night following four years of nursing home care at the Mackenzie Towne Care Centre in Calgary, Alberta. Roberta was born in Leader, Saskatchewan. Following high school she spent a short time in Calgary and then relocated to Montreal. She spent some years as a cook on a freightliner. It was during that time that she met Albert (Frank) the love of her life. They were together for sixteen years until his passing. Roberta lived a very vibrant life determined not to miss out on anything. She loved plants and shopping but more then that she loved animals. Roberta shared her life with her cat Tinker for eighteen years. Known as a caring and generous soul she will be missed by all who knew her. Roberta is survived by her brother- in-law Chris Brink; her two nephews Christian and Eldon Brink; her two great-nephews Ben and Christian Brink. Roberta was predeceased by her sister Eldora Brink. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In living memory of Roberta Farkas, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
