Robin Jaschke Obituary

Published by Vancouver Sun and/or The Province on Oct. 15, 2008.
Robin Barbara Jaschke nee Leakey 8 December 1946 - 6 October 2008 Left us suddenly and unexpected. Forever loved and remembered by her husband Konrad, her children Konrad Jr, Koren (Thomas), Keric, stepdaughter Gudrun, her sisters Leslie, Jamie (Mike), granddaughters Emma and Elliot, brother-in-law Heinz (Luise), sister-in-law Margarete (Cyprus), aunts Lilian (Alf), Marge (Chuck), and Nancy, and many cousins and friends in BC, Ontario, the US, and Germany. Predeceased by her parents Donald and Gertrude (nee Robinson), aunt Alberta, cousin Keith, brother in-law Gerhard, and nephew Hans-Martin. Robin cared for everyone in the extended family and put her own wishes and needs last. She was also absolutely nuts about her two granddaughters Emma and Elliot. She loved all her cats and dogs. In the 1990s she served on the board of directors of the BC Schizophrenia Society and chaired the Vancouver chapter. During that time she taught the "Journey of Hope" course in Vancouver. Memorial service will be held on Saturday October 25th, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Japanese - Canadian Anglican Church located at 4580 Walden Street, Vancouver, BC (30th Ave. and Walden, one block east of Main). In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Robin's name to the Vancouver SPCA or the BC Schizophrenia Society.

To my friend Konrad Jr, and the rest of the Jaschke family.

Our thoughts have been with you and will so, as the days go on. We will wonder how you feel, hoping you’re coping, and getting a little better each day. When you’re grieving, not only will we be beside you, in our thoughts, but the rest of your friends will be as well.

Sincere condolences, Damon Wong, Linda Mah and family
