Robin and I grew up together in Evanston. We were best friends. We drifted apart but always managed to find each other. Time was not relevant. She is truly missed and will remain my best friend in my heart. Deepest condolences to her sister and family. This is a huge loss to all who knew Robin.

This hurts. Robin was my sister. A "homie" as we called each other as Chicago kids now living in Texas and still talking about the best Chicago dogs, Italian beefs and deep dish places we missed. We worked together at WJW-TV in Cleveland and the bond was sealed. We connected almost on a daily basis in a text, phone call or Facebook. We watched sports events on TV. Her in Houston, me in SA and we'd watch the entire game while on talking, laughing and analyzing the game on our cell phones. When I convinced her to watch hockey games with me, she caught the fever. We had nightly 3-hour phone calls watching the Blackhawks during their Stanley Cup runs. She was so fun and funny. Once she learned the hockey lingo, she loved telling me what hole the puck went through to score. What a great personality! In the toughest of recent times of flooding and her health issues, she was more concerned about Lulu than she was about property damage. I'm going to miss my big sister. Thank you Robin for being so wonderful. We love you, miss you and look forward to our next reunion. God bless you and be in peace "homie".

I am beyond devestated. Robin was a dear friend & the most beautiful, brilliant, fun, kind, extraordinary woman and friend. I was so blessed to have her let me be her friend. We worked news together in Lexington Kentucky and Robin was the consummate news professional. She was highly intelligent, articulate, humble, funny, loved by everyone she met. We had so many plans to make, places to see, troubke to get into. I will love you always my beautiful Pep!

I talked to Robin several years ago. She had no videotapes of her anchoring at WLWT (I was an intern then) and I had kept tons of tapes so I sent them out to her. We were on many spot news stories together. I called her "Bright Eyes". So sad she's gone.

Robin was a sweet soul and a bright light to those around her. It was with great sadness that word of her passing came to us tonight.
We worked together on the weekend newscasts at WLWT-TV in Cincinnati. We had a good friendship and a strong professional relationship. She carried the mail as the anchorperson and I was the sportscaster.
We both moved on and were reunited many years later on Facebook, sharing thoughts and memories. She showed us all how to keep her problems private. She showed us how to die with dignity. That will not be forgotten. Rest peacefully, dear Robin. We will meet again.

Oh how I'm going to miss my lil sis, Robin. My heart goes out to her family. We were colleagues and friends. She was beautiful inside and out with a heart of gold but was a tiger as a journalist. I loved Robin for her goodness to others and especially to my family!!!
