Rocky M. Stanley

Rocky M. Stanley, 54, of Chesapeake passed away Friday, January 22, 2010, at his home. Rocky was born in Kanawha County on May 28, 1955, to the late Alex Burford and Mary Jane Evans Stanley. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Stanley; and a granddaughter, Jordyn Stanley. He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Stanley of Nitro and Kasey Asbury of Belle; grandchildren, Taylor Shilling and Matthew Asbury; sister, Diane Skiles of Route 6, Charleston; brothers, Richard of Seth, Mike of Evansville, Indiana, Danny of Chesapeake and Charlie of Summersville; caretakers, Becky Cornwell and David Hassel. The funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. (Noon) Monday, January 25, 2010, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with the Rev. Ronald Perry officiating. A private burial will follow the service in Stanley Cemetery, Kayford. His family and friends will gather for the visitation one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
