CSM Calhoun was the best. We became friends the first day we met. His professionalism and enthusiasm was contagious. The young nco's at the 97th Arcom could not have had a better role model.

Connie & Family: I extend to you and your family my deepest sympathy on your loss. I met CSM Calhoun when he came to my division at 97th ARCOM. He was a very kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable & intelligent Man and Soldier. I learned a lot from him and shall always remember the great advice that he so generously gave me. Your entire spiritual family has surely loss a great man. I shall keep you and your family in my prayers. You most likely don't remember me, because I was ahead of you in school, but I grew in Brandywine and my maiden name was Gross. May God continue to bless you and your family.

To The Calhoun Family. We will miss Mr. Calhoun's spirit and soft guidance. Not only did he encourage us in our work at CAFY, but offered much encouragement to me while my husband was studying to become a minister. We will miss him. Thank you for sharing him with so many of us.

CSM Calhoun had many gifts he shared with us at the 97th US Army Reserve Command, the greatest of which was his friendship and smile. May the Peace of God be with him and his family.

Connie, I met you at Roger's class reunion in 1998. So sorry to hear of Roger's death. I went to school with him, but I was older. Theodore and I were classmate and Mayra was a grade behind me. I wanted to surprise Theodore, but I know he will not be there. I live in Takoma Park,MD and I do plan to see you on Friday, if I don't get lost. My deepest regrets to you and family.
