One of my clearest memories of Roger was the difference that came over him when his family visited. It was so obvious how he loved them. If you asked him about them he would smile. Perhaps masked to others but obvious to us was the loving man he was. We send best wishes and continued prayers to all his family

I was looking at pictures of him today, wishing I had known him years before. I remember having lunch with him at a favorite place in Mechanicsville and I can't explain why but he was so wonderfully conversant. We had a wonderful time. What a blessing!

The staff and the residents and families of Doswell House were deeply saddened with the passing of our friend, Roger. We grieve with his many friends and family and look forward to that great day when we can be reunited. We send prayers for comfort for all those left behind.

Hi Pat,
I am so sorry to hear about Roger's passing. I just found out about it today, Thursday, 10/20. I would love to have been there to say goodbye to an old friend, but I missed it. Hope you are surviving. There were a lot more people at the Union Envelope luncheon who had not heard about his passing as well. Call me if I can help. Love, Harry Wilkins

We were so sorry to learn of your loss - our sympathy goes out to Roger Sr. and family. I used to see Roger Jr. at AMA meetings and other Richmond events, but had lost touch in recent years. I remember him as an intelligent and thoughtful person who was willing to give his time to the community. A good family man and business associate.

I have fond memories of Roger from Union Envelope and ColorTree. He was a tenacious advocate for his customers and an all around good guy. I know he truly loved Pat and I am sure he was a great father. I wish we had stayed in touch the last 10 - 15 years.
