I am so very blessed to have had the chance to get to know Roger. He was just so easy to talk to and even easier to like. I am truely saddened to hear of this loss and I am keeping Jeanne and the rest of the family in my thoughts and prayers. May the Lord bless you and keep you all. May the spirit guide you and provide you with comfort.
Respectfully
Chris

Uncle Roger "Unkie" was a very special and dear man to me. He lived with us when I was a baby and he used to crack me up with stories of things that happened back then. Throughout my life Roger was there to share the ups and downs. I have so many happy memories of things I did, places I went, and conversations I had with Roger. His heart and home were always open to his family members. Like Jimmy I have helped fill that Lake of Tears. Roger will certainly be missed.
I send healing thoughts and prayers of comfort to Jeanne, Scott, Holly, Joe & Jake & your families for your loss. Love Lynne

When I was ten years old I lost the world I knew. My family became broken. I was so lonely and afraid that I would never again know what it felt like to have a father. Everyone needs a male person in my life, to make me feel safe again. We moved back to Minneapolis and as fate would have it we moved across the street from Jeannie and Roger and then later into the same building. We didn't have any possessions only each other.
Jeannie and Roger were just new parents, themselves, but somehow they found time for us. Every day became a little easier for me and I learned to enjoy life again. But enjoying life was made easy by Roger's spirit. He was always laughing and he really loved a great prank. There is no one in my life who can tell a story like Roger. He was also the only person who was brave enough and found the time to try to teach me to drive. And by the way even Gray considers me a good driver. Today I realize that my world was not lost it had only changed. In fact I never lost anything I only gained a larger family. Just as he was there for me when I was ten, he will always be there. I want to thank you Jeannie and Roger for helping me to feel safe again, because without you both I would not be the person I am today. Roger was my Uncle, my sometimes father and always my friend. I love you. Cindy Davis aka Dorian Gray

On behalf of the Parents Association at Mounds Park Academy, let me offer our condolences on the loss of Roger. His smile, support, and "can do" attitude made him invaluable to anything the Parents Association needed help with. The halls are a little dimmer without him.

I had the pleasure of knowing Rodger when my oldest had attended MPA. And the relationship continued with my other two children this last year. To borrow words from a friend. He never forgot that the reason he was there was to support kids. Roger did whatever he did with kindness and caring. He was special. And he will not soon be forgotten. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Maureen Geoffrey

To the Eibon Family - While I worked at Mounds Park Academy I had the pleasure of getting to know Roger. He was such a kind and thoughtful man. It was so apparent how much he loved his family and how proud he was of Jake, who I also worked with. He was a true gentleman in my mind and I will remember him fondly. - Linda Hoopes

Roger Dodger, "Roge" I was lucky enough to have the Eibons as neighbors growing up and to know Roger and Jeannie. I'm sad to hear Roge had to leave so soon. He will be missed....

Roger was a wonderful man who I thoroughly enjoyed knowing and working with at MPA. He cared so passionately for people and his job. His friendly greeting and reminders of past joint experiences always brightened my day whenever I saw him. He will be missed greatly.

will always remember and love you. many of my best times in my life was when you were there and it wasnt what we were doing that made them the best of times, rather they were the best of times because you were there to make them so. you could make getting a hair cut a lot of fun and a great time. in fact you did, still remember in april of 1970 when you shaved my head in your basement and freed my big ears. i am sure even Jean remembers that.
and the heavens have a new star to brighten the sky, and minnesota has a new lake, the lake of tears, for i have shed many. and we all have another guardian angel to help guide us on our earthly path.
and may god give Jean and Scott and Holly and Joe and Jake and the rest of your blessed family the strength they will need at this time of great sadness.
you are the coolest cat ever.
love,
jimmy
