Roger and I were friends in our old Bluefield, WV, neighborhood when we were kids. We lived about four houses apart on Cumberland Road. I spent a lot of time at his house and he at mine. We played a lot of games together with nearby friends. One memory is that his dad took a bunch of us camping in VA on farm near Camp Creek. I lost contact with Roger after high school, but fortunately had at least a Facebook conversation with him earlier this year. He was a good friend.

Roger and I became good friends when he came to work for B & T Distributing about 1983 or so. We played many sets of tennis and drank more than a few beers together. He was the best man at my wedding in 1985. Sadly we lost contact over the years and I am saddened to hear of his passing. My deepest sympathies to Ginger and Sarah.

Our hearts are broken. Scott and I just saw Roger before a Science Hill football game in Maryville at Applebees less than 2 months ago. He was a dear friend to both of us all through college. We loved him dearly . We´re sending much love and prayers to his precious family. Love, Scott and Carol Gentry
