Roger W. McCloughan Sr. WEST AMWELL TOWNSHIP - Roger W. McCloughan Sr., 81, of West Amwell Township, NJ, died on Thursday, May 9, 2013, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ. Born in Pittstown, NJ, on Feb. 11, 1932, Roger was the son of the late Floyd and Alice Williamson McCloughan. He grew up in the Pittstown area. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Amwell Valley Fire Company, Ringoes, NJ; the Flemington Elks Lodge No. 1928, Flemington, NJ, and the Colonial Sportsmen's Club. He enjoyed Nascar and was a member of the Flemington Speedway fire crew for many years. He loved to spend time and travel with his family, and was always willing to help with any project. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Elsie Ann Reger McCloughan; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger Jr. and Joan McCloughan of Yardley, PA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and David Grusemeyer of Marmora, NJ, and Susanne and Bruce Underkoffler of Vienna, VA; seven grandchildren, Mary Jane Miller, Addie Brown, Elizabeth Signor, Ann McCloughan, Scott McCloughan, Christian Allen Underkoffler, and Katie Mae Underkoffler, and five great-grandchildren, Jacob Brown, Alexandra Miller, Kaylie Brown, Samantha Miller, and Andrew Signor. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Ringoes, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Amwell Valley Fire Company, P.O. Box 50, Ringoes, NJ 08551.
