Roland HORSFIELD Obituary
1926 - 2013
Roland Horsfield of Calgary passed away peacefully on January 1, 2013 at the age of 86 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Joyce (nee Purdie), as well as his children: Patricia (Sandy) Clanachan, Gail (Bob) Kerr and Dave (Margit) Horsfield, and eleven grandchildren: Carrie and Rob Clanachan; Dan, Densie, Ainslay and Christine Kerr; and Dean, Kai, Martin (Laine), David and Sylvia Horsfield. He was predeceased by his son Don Horsfield in 2007. He enjoyed a lengthy, successful career with Imperial Oil and was an avid golfer, fisherman and skier. He and Joyce spent their retirement years travelling around the world. Roland was devoted to his family and spent many happy times with his grandchildren. As per his wishes, a private family celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Please forward condolences through www.albertaburialandcremation.com.

Justed wanted to pass on my condolences to all of the family. As I worked as a caregiver/nurse with him and his wife, they were both a wonderful couple. I will miss his sweet smile as every day when I saw him in recent days, there was always a "hi Linda". A wonderful man indeed.
