ROLAND V. TOMPKINS
Roland V. Tompkins, 84, of Hallstead, PA passed away on November 20, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Donna; two children, Colleen DeVincentis and Scott (Sue) Tompkins; four grandchildren, Stephanie (Lee) DeVincentis-Ament, Padraic DeVincentis, Melissa Tompkins, and Jacob Tompkins; two great grandchildren, Rohan and Bronwyn; two sisters, Barbara Button and Jean Bonham; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Irene Brassard, Warren Tompkins, and Harold Tompkins; and a son-in-law, Anthony DeVincentis.
Roland was a proud veteran, serving with the United States Air Force. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Singer Link as an Industrial Engineer. Following his career as an engineer, he studied to be a Horologist and fixed many clocks. He was also skilled in woodworking, stained glass, a parts fabricator, hunter, and fisherman. His family will miss him and fondly remember his "Pop jokes."
At his request, the family will have a private inurnment in Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 367 Church Street, Montrose, PA 18801.
