So sorry to hear of Rolf's passing. He was a very kind hearted soul. He was my Field Training Officer and left me with a solid foundation to start my career. He and his family are in my prayers.

I just discovered Rolf’s passing when I received my latest issue of Marquette Magazine. Rolf and I were best friends in high school and shared many adventures together — from concerts and tennis matches to many nights on the town. I am truly saddened and wish Pat and Lindsay my deepest condolences.

Rolf and I were partners on Squad 61 for the last few years of his career. He was the hardest working cop I've ever met. A thoughtful man of compassion and integrity. I mourn him.

I worked with Rolf as his partner the last few years up until his retirement He was such a dedicated policeman along with being a good husband and a good father. The stories he would tell while we worked along with his sense of humor i will miss . A true hero . Rest In Peace friend .

I found Rolf to be a very professional police officer who was always cheerful. He was a tremendous asset to the law enforcement profession. May his cheerfulness be greeted at his first roll call in heaven and may God bless this fine man.
