Ronald Norwood, 67, of Zachary, Louisiana, passed away on October 13, 2023. He was born on April 27, 1956, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Ronald, also known as "Ronnie-boy" or Ronnie, was a determined and strong-willed individual from a young age. He had a lifelong passion for cars, particularly the Chevrolet Camaro. He started each day with a smile on his face and a spirit that overcame any obstacle life presented him.

He graduated from Scotlandville Senior High School in 1976 and furthered his education at the T.H. Harris Vocational School in Opelousas, Louisiana. In 1981, he joined the Louisiana Department of Transportation, where he earned the trust and respect of his team members.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Norwood and Wilbert Norwood.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church of Scotlandville, 1414 Sora Street in Baton Rouge. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to the Ronald R. Norwood Scholarship Fund at South Louisiana Community College, T.H. Harris Campus, 332 East South St., Opelousas, LA 70570. Donations can be made online at https://givebutter.com/Norwood.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Scott's Bluff Mortuary.
