Ronald Seidner Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Oct. 11 to Oct. 13, 2016.
Ronald Lee Seidner, age 78, of Cumming passed away Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, following a brief illness. He was born July 6, 1938 in Muncie, Ind., the son of Gail L. and Thelma F. Seidner.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Bart and Amy Seidner of Cumming; four grandchildren who were the light of his life, Zachary (11), Carter (6), Blake (6), and Katie Belle Seidner (6); his brother, Steven M. (Marsha) of Olive Branch, Miss.; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Katie Seidner; his brother, Reginald; and both parents.
After growing up on the family farm in Ridgeville, Ind., Ron attended Ball State University where he met his wife Katie, who he loved dearly. Upon graduating in 1961 he became a high school teacher for several years. Afterwards, he worked at RCA in International Business and Human Resources where he retired after 33 years. A career that he was very proud of and one that moved his family all over the world. Ron was an active member of Johns Creek United Methodist Church where he served as a Stephen Minister, volunteered as a Kitchen Angel, and ushered weekly. He enjoyed volunteering and helping others, traveling and especially spending time with his four grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service is being held at Johns Creek United Methodist Church Saturday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m.

Dearest Ron and family,

As a friend and gracious recipient of Ron's generous spirit - for he was instrumental in hiring me at RCA/Thomson back in 1998 which soon led me to Paris, thereby changing my life forever - I'd like to extend my deepest condolences for the loss of this wonderful man.

Ron shall always be an inspiration to me, and a sort of mentor. It's an honor for me to write and say that, and I mean it with all my heart.

My prayers go to Bart and your extended family. May you walk in the light Ron provided you and your family, and always remember the grace and fine qualities he brought us daily.

God bless you all,
Derrick

I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. The loss of a loved one is very hard to cope with. May you all continue to receive comfort from our heavenly Father during this tough time (Hosea 13:14).
