Ronald Stout Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 8, 2024.
Ronald Joe Stout, aged 72, of West Fork, AR, passed away on November 6, 2024. Born on October 21, 1952, Ronald led a life marked by dedication to his craft, an adventurous spirit, and a deep love for his family and the outdoors.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Diane; daughter Rene and her husband Paul; son Scotty and his wife Chrissy; four cherished grandchildren (Joe, Travis, Olivia & Makenzie) who knew him as their strong, supportive "Papa"; his brother Larry, and sisters Shirley and Donna. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous extended family members who admired him deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayman and Beatrice.

Ronald's journey began early, working at a car wash and delivering newspapers as a young teen, instilling a strong work ethic that shaped his life. He spent 15 years working as a tree surgeon, mastering the art of tree care, and later transitioned into carpentry, where he devoted 28 years. Ronald's skilled hands crafted not only structures but also a legacy of strength and integrity, leaving an indelible mark on his community.

An enthusiast of the great outdoors, Ronald found peace and joy in nature. He had a passion for fishing, hiking, camping, and bike riding. He explored the world through scuba diving, shared his gardening talents with neighbors, and was always up for a new project, often tinkering with anything that caught his interest. Known for his generous heart and welcoming smile, Ronald made friends easily and was always willing to lend a hand.

Ronald will be remembered for his resilience, his humor, and the unwavering love he showed his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held at the Strickler Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, November 16 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm.

The last time I saw Uncle Ronnie he took me on a tour of his homestead. There was a palpable pride as he showed me the ducks, chickens, fruit and trees - not to mention his various projects, both complete and in progress. The pride I sensed was deserved and well placed. Every project he worked, he worked to perfection. This is just a simple anecdote; Ronnie was so much more - loving, kind, determined. A loyal friend, an independent thinker, A loving family member. He will be missed.

Mom used to say Ronnie and I was like having twins. we were always together when we were young , if one was in trouble both of us were guilty . Ron liked joking around when he broke his leg he talked me and my husband Tom into taking him out of the hospital and pushing him down the hill he crashed at the bottom laughing like crazy. After moving to West Fork he would come by alot to see if I needed anything fixed and bring eggs from his farm. I miss you so much Ron my heart is broken . It doesn´t seem possible I will never see you again except in my memories. sending you hugs and all my love baby brother .

Most of my memories are from around the 1980s. At Grama and Grampas. You were at my wedding. The last visit was at Grampa and Ollie's house. Your mom was picking green beans with Grampa. Most of us garden because of Grampa it was the one thing he really shared with us. You have a beautiful family who loves you very much. Hundreds of cousins who love and respect you. You will be missed. Love to you and your family. Give Grama and Grampa love for me.
