Rosemary A. Madonna Thomas

Rosemary A. Madonna THOMAS Age 74, longtime West Seattle resident, passed away peacefully at her son’s home on Friday, December 28. She was born in Canyon City, Colorado on Janu ary 25, 1933. An avid sports fan, Rosemary loved watching college basketball and foot ball; the Washington State Cougars have lost their most devoted fan. She was also dedicated to her job with the Depart ment of Social and Health Services, where she had worked for the past 24 years. Rosemary was known for her determination, sense of humor, devotion to family and love of animals. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Mary Madonna. She is survived by her children, Joseph (Mary) Bredereck of Snohomish; Rich ard (Debbie) Bredereck of Auburn; Michele (Richard) Steiner of Camano Island; sister, Angelina (Phil) Fuda; brother, Nick (Janice) Madonna; nine grandchildren, Leah, Kristie, Josh, Caleb, Mackenzie, Katie, Hannah, Christian, and Tessa; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in West Seattle. The family wishes to thank the caring and professional staff of Providence Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish County.
