Roy Hamlin Obituary
Roy Hamlin, age 79, passed peacefully on February 1, 2022, with his wife and family by his side. Roy was born in Mojave, California, April 18, 1942. He grew up in Santa Rosa and graduated from Montgomery High School in 1961. He married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie, in 1962. He worked for Lucky Stores for 25 years and changed careers to selling drilling tools in the Geothermal geysers.
He was a Mason and a Shriner and had belonged to many car-related groups. His obsession was cars of any kind. He had a jeep and went 4-wheeling. He raced many types of cars and most recently restoration of classic cars and drag racing. He spearheaded the building of the Viking ship for the 50th anniversary of Montgomery High School which is still used for events. He was extremely honest, hardworking and a mentor to our sons.
Roy is survived by his wife, Bonnie, sons Russ (Theresa), Dean (Kim), grandchildren Nikki Troy (Phil), Shelby Tran (Nick), Corey, Morgan (Jeremy), siblings, Tim Hamlin, Suzan Hamlin, Georgia Guglielmini.
A memorial service will be held at a future date.
Donations may be made to Shriner's Children Hospital or Memorial Hospice.

For over 50 years Roy has been a part of my family. Much of it seemed to involve cars in one way or another. He will be deeply missed by Bonnie, Dean and Russ and their families.
