Mr. Bodkin, Karen and family,
It is with sad news that I learn of the death of Mrs. Bodkin, my 6th grade teacher at Hogan Spring Glen Elementary School.
She indeed was the teacher who made the greatest impact on my life at such a very young age. She called me to her desk one day and SHARED with me words I shall remember forever. She showed me what was necessary to become the best student that I could be and told me she knew what potential I possessed. It was the turning point of my elementary years and I let that be a guiding force in my life throughout my schooling. I wish I could have told her what an inspiration she was to me.
To each of you.....I know she will be missed greatly. She was indeed a special lady. With fondest memories of your loved one and my "dearest" teacher.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Bodkin was my 6th grade teacher at Englewood Elementary School. I was the fourth of several family members she taught. I am now 59 years old and Mrs. Bodkin is one of a couple of teachers that I had who really made an impact on me. I am now an office manager for a law firm. I will never forget her. She brought learning to "life" for a lot of us. Every day with her was a wonderful experience of all of her students. She certainly had a gift for teaching.

I wish to express my deepest sympathy to the Bodkin family on the death of your wife and mother.
She was my third grade teacher at Hogan Spring Glen and it was always an adventure in both learning and outside activities to be a part of her class. Her birthday and mine were both March 11, and I always marveled at her for having been born in a town called Frostproof, and her claim of husband Larry being able to eat a whole pie in five minutes!
May God grant you peace in the days ahead as you think about her in the fondest terms. She is missed!
