Ruby Wells Obituary
Ruby was born Sept. 17, 2006, in St. Joseph at Heartland Regional Medical Center to Scott Andrew and Tara Lynn (Gillespie) Wells, who survive of the home.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Chester Wells; maternal great-grandparents, Dale and Bernice Gillespie, and Max and June Van Hoozer; paternal great-grandparents, Theodore and Matilda Derks, and Hermann and Rosemary Wells; and two uncles, Lynn and Wayne Wells.
Additional survivors: her maternal grandparents, Rod and Nancy Gillespie; paternal grandmother, Patricia Wells; aunts and uncles, Connie Wells and Arthur Schottel, Mike and Cindy Wells, Tonya and Doug McCrea, Gary and Nancy Wells, Steve Wells, Kenny Wells and Von Wells; cousins, Brian, Bridget and Brent Wells; Dustin, Doren and Daman Wells; Beth Bell; Dylan, Madison and Cash McCrea; and Kyle and Kortni Wells; and a very special person, Grammy Peggy Ransom and Don Ransom extended family.
Service: 1 p.m. Friday, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, St. Joseph. Interment: Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Joseph.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Ruby Kate Wells Memorial Fund for Needy Children in care of the St. Joseph School District Foundation, 3401 Renick St., St. Joseph, Mo., 64507. This has been established for special school children.
Ruby Kate was so giving and would want to help special little ones who are not so fortunate.
