Rufus Collie

Funeral Service for the late Rufus Collie, aged 76 years of Sunset Park, and formerly of Pirates Well, Mayaguana, will be held on Sunday, 22nd January, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at Grants Town Seventh Day Adventist Church, Wellington Street. Dr .Leonard A. Johnson and Pastor Mark Ewen along with other minsters of the gospel will officiate. Interment will follow in Carmichael Community Bible Church Cemetery, Carmichael and Gladstone Roads.

Left with cherished memories are his wife, Ella; two sons Rufus and David Collie; two daughters Karen Collie and Charmaine von Zitzewitz of Plymouth, Massachusetts; son-in-law Alexander von Zitzewitz; daughter-in-law Jahmila; six granddaughters Zenita of Florida, Ajahdai, UmaJah, Aziyah Collie, Kristen Collie Goodrich of Massachusetts, and Davanna Collie; seven grandsons Andrew of North Carolina, Niaynndai, UnaJah, Nattafari Collie, Johnathan Goodrich of Massachusetts, David II and D'Angelo Collie; one sister Lulamae Thompson, one brother Hudoll Collie of West Palm Beach, FL; nine sisters-in-law Areline, Sarah, Voilene, Gloria-Jean and Carolyn Collie, Eula Mortimer, Carolyn Rolle, Francina Cambridge, and Sherry Smith; three brothers-in-law Nigel, Kirk, and Fred Smith; numerous nieces and nephews, including: Janet Patterson-Curtis, Enid Capron, Amelia Collie, Olga Fawkes, Naomi Collie-Gibson, Lovita, Devon Collie, Gilbert Collie-Black, and Byron Collie; Linda Brown, Vanda Capron, Hon. Friends may pay their last respects at PLP Head Quarters (Sir Lynden Pindling Centre) Farrington Road, on Friday from 10:00a.m. to 4:30p.m. and on Saturday at Bethel Brothers Morticians Nassau Street from 10:00 am to 6:00pm and on Sunday at the church from 12:00 noon. until service time.
