After working closely with Russ for 16 years on over 350 projects and then not is a grievous blow. To talk on the phone almost daily to not talking ever again is numbing. Late Friday afternoon phone conversations, on Russ's long drive home to Walworth, were the norm. We would always talk about work, family and common interest, including antiquing.
Just about every time we walked the corridors at Princeton we would run into someone who knew Russ. He always had the time to say hello. A true test of a person's character is how they treat others. Russ treated everyone kindly, fair and with professional respect.
The last time I saw Russ, we enjoyed watching Pitt win against Ohio on a Saturday in September. This was a nice afternoon that I will always remember.
I'm glad I got to know Russ and will miss him very much as a true colleague and friend.

I met Russ a year or so after he graduated from High School and I asked him to become an employee of my HVAC Service Engineering Co and he did accept the job. I had to teach him the needed basics of the work an I quickly learned he only needed to be told the fundamentals and testing procedures once and he remembered all in which he was instructed. He became a valuable field and trusted worker. AS pointed out in his obituary, while working for me he eventually got his BSME and when I retired and closed my company he was ready to take over. He also achieved and got he PE and continued to serve the valued clients he already knew and they knew him. Russ is and will always be missed as he was a wonderful person to have k known.

Russ will be missed dearly. I considered him a friend and mentor. He was here at Princeton University so often many thought he was an employee. He will always be a memorable part of my engineering career and a lasting legacy for all he has done for the University. I will remember his smile and positive attitude even during the hardest of times. My sincerest condolences to all who were privileged enough to know Russ.

I worked with Russ for 12 years. He was a dedicated practical problem-solving engineer. I will most remember him for being loyal and forgiving and the way he would greet me with a smile and handshake. I miss hem greatly.

So sorry to hear of Russ's passing. We had many good times together, both on the lanes and off. He was a great friend who never failed to bring a smile to our faces. Thoughts and prayers going out to his family,

Russ and I worked together at Curtis Lanes in the early 80's. In the late 80's and early 90's Russ used to stop by my store in Yardley almost daily. I have many great memories and funny stories that I will never forget. I consider myself lucky to have know Russ and call him my friend.I hope that the Lord brings you and your family the much-needed peace during this sad time. My deepest sympathy to your family.

Wishing you strength and peace during this tough time. Russ and I were friends and bowling colleagues who traveled on the pro tour and many other tournaments in the 1980's. Russ stopped bowling in the 1990's but we kept in touch throughout the years. I will cherish the times we spend together.
