Ruth COVIT Obituary
On Monday, May 4, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife and best-friend of the late Leon (Cooney) for sixty-four and a half years. Cherished and loving mother and mother-in-law of the late Clyde Covit (Sharon), Sharon Bero (Shelly), and Tema Bross (Ness Mayer). Most loved Bubby of Brandee Friedmann (Steven), Hayley Levy (Paul), Barrie Covit (Gwen), Charlene Tate (Ken), Corey Bero (Angela), Ashleigh Bross, Larah Bross (Marc), and Mickey Mayer (Ines). Great-grandmother of Jordan and Sean, Isabel, Matthew, Alison, Charlie, Jamie, Bobby, Lyla, Billie Roux, Roca Bea and a new baby arriving any day. Daughter of the late Tema and the late Abraham Segal. Predeceased by her siblings, brothers-in-law and sisters-in- law Bella and Syd Klar, Irene Fay Iscovitch, Tillie and Peter Covit, Patsy and Moe Edwards. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews, and a special friend to all. The family would like to thank Debbie, as well as the 5th floor staff of Maimonides Geriatric Centre for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W. on Thursday, May 7 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Haboneh Hahofshi Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at her daughter Tema's home from 1:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm daily. Donations may be made to the "Clyde Covit Memorial Fund" c/o United Talmud Torah Schools, (514) 739-2291, ext. 224.
