Ruth DAVIES Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 10, 2021.
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth, beloved daughter of John and Mavis Davies, at the age of 57. Sister of Michael Burton-Davies (Jane) of Bobcaygeon and Judi Davies-Stephenson (Craig) of Mississauga. Auntie Ruth will always be remembered by David Burton-Davies, Sarah Varashin (David), Campbell Stephenson (Sophie Waterland), Nikola Stephenson (Otto Perl), also by great-nieces Ismay, Enza and Lucia Varashin, great-nephew Johnathan Perl, and our extended family in Wales and England. She will also be missed and fondly remembered by her special friend Soren Jung in Denmark and her colleagues at Kawartha Family Services and the many friends she has made over the years. Ruth was born in Pwllheli, Wales and always missed her homeland. Her passions were reading, music and social justice. Her advocacy for those less fortunate will be missed. Special thanks to Dr Garcia and the dedicated nursing staff of PRHC for their care, kindness and support through her final days. Arrangements entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. A celebration of life will be held later when circumstances allow. Donations in Ruth's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Condolences may be shared and donations made by visiting www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
