August 10, 1921-July 12, 2012. Ruth J., Dawson, beloved wife of the late Wesley J. Dawson, Jr. for 65 years; and faithful mother of Ann Christine Boehm (Larry) of Apollo, PA; sons, the late Jay Dawson (Susan) of Valencia, PA, Robert (Merry) of Fairhope, Alabama, Mark (Susan) of Chicago, Illinois, and Michael (Therese) of Wexford, PA; grandsons, Wesley Edward George IV (Emily) of Manassas, Virginia, Joel Dawson of Fairhope, Alabama, John Dawson of Chicago, Illinois, and David Dawson (Sara) of New York, NY; and granddaughters, Aylea Ptachcinski (Jonathan) of Upper St. Clair, PA, Julia Allan (Dennis) of Pittsburgh, PA, Elisa Dawson of Valencia, PA, Christianna (Nick) Vantresca of Philadelphia PA, Melody Brackett (Zachary) of Wake Forest, NC, Bethany Dawson of Fairhope, Alabama, Aimee Kupets of Huntington, West Virginia, Christine Dawson, Sarah Dawson, and Caroline Dawson all of Wexford, PA; four great-grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Montgomery; and many nieces and nephews, died on Thursday morning. Ruth and Wes, most recently residents of Grace Manor in Allison Park, PA were long time residents of Franklin Park Borough in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, PA. Ruth was born on August 10, 1921 in Unionville, OH. He is preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Donald, of Dearborn, Michigan. Ruth and Wes were married for 65 years. Wes and Ruth met at Hiram College in Hiram, OH in 1940 and were married at the Unionville Congregational Church in Unionville, Ohio in 1945. Since 1984, Ruth and Wes were active members and deacons of North Way Christian Community, a non-denominational church in Wexford, PA. Ruth and Wes also served those in the community for many years in the Meals on Wheels program and as volunteers at UPMC Passavant Hospital. All of his children and grandchildren wish to gratefully acknowledge the legacy that has been passed on to them in the form of a life-long example of faithful service to God, his wife, family, church and community. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts be made in Ruth Dawson's name to North Way Christian Community, Wexford, PA. There will be a visitation and Memorial Service at North Way Christian Community at 12121 Perry Highway Wexford, PA 15090 724-935-6800, www.northway.org. Sunday, July 15 at 2:30 in the afternoon. A private family burial will take place Monday, July 16 in Unionville, Ohio.

Ruth's Family,
She will truely be missed at Northway's family. Great heart for God's people,especially those that needed prayer and always willing to listen. Ruth is rejoicing in God's Heavenly kingdom with her beloved Wes.
