Ryan Wilner Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 2, 2022.
Ryan Steven Wilner was born on November 2,1987 in Denton, Texas and unexpectedly passed away on August 28, 2022 in Long Beach, CA. He was the loving son of Neil Wilner and Debbie Wilner (deceased), and brother of Suzanne Wilner-Minc, Eric Wilner (deceased), brother-in-law of Oren Minc and uncle to Ella and Roey Minc. Ryan was a bright light to many and valued time with friends and family. He was self-employed and loved living in California because of "the different than Texas lifestyle." Ryan was a lover of music and art who enjoyed traveling with his father. Modern technology allowed for him to be a strong presence in our lives, despite distance-Facetime, watching movies and playing video games (especially with his niece and nephew). Ryan recently adopted a rescue dog named Zone who brought him great joy and would accompany him around Long Beach.

The first celebration of life will be held by friends in Long Beach, CA on October 8. Family will hold a celebration of his life, on what would have been his 35th birthday celebration, at 4:30 on Sunday, November 6 at the home of Suzanne and Oren Minc in Dallas, Texas. For more information on the celebrations please contact Neil at 214 -755-3907 or [email protected]. Family and friends are encouraged to come and share a happy or funny memory of our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in honor of Ryan to the ASPCA: shorturl.at/RS159

I just heard of Ryan´s passing and I am heartbroken. We grew apart after Covid due to my move across the country. Ryan was of the sweetest souls to walk the earth. He felt everything so deeply and was an amazing friend. We had connected on levels I hadn´t with anyone else. I wish we could have gotten together one more time or had one more of our silly FaceTime calls. Long Beach will never be the same without you, at least in my eyes. I know so many people were waiting for you with open arms up there with your momma and brother. Xoxo bubba until we meet again.

I didn´t know Ryan well, but he was one my brother Tim´s close friends. We lost Tim in January and Ryan shared some kind words with me at the service.
I´m so sorry to hear of his passing. I don´t know what happens when we leave this world, but I like to think that Tim and other loved ones who went before him were there, waiting for him. Ryan left this photo on Tim´s memorial page, so I´ll leave it here for him too.
Rest In Peace, Ryan.
