Sally McGinnis Forte Cox, 73, passed away April 22, 2010. A native of Massachusetts, she came to St. Petersburg, Florida, in 1961. She eventually settled in Yankeetown, Florida, in 1980.
At that time she established Sally Forte Realty, which she grew to a successful real estate business. She was active in the Yankeetown community and a member of the Yankeetown Republican club. She enjoyed the old Florida charm of Yankeetown and was an advocate for SaveYankeetown.com.
Sally is preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Cox. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Donna) Forte, Cincinnati, OH, and Tony (Michele) Forte, St. Petersburg, FL; sisters, Kathy (Emory) Merrill, St Augustine, FL, and Shirley (Richard) Dickinson, San Antonio, TX; and grandsons, Andrew, Ryan, Kyle and Zane.
She will be deeply missed and the family would like to thank the caregivers at the Seven Rivers Medical Center and Inverness HPS Hospice. A private memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Sally's name to Friends of Withlachoochee Gulf Preserve, PO Box 482, Yankeetown, FL 34498.

I was saddened to Hear about Sally's passing.
She was a warm hearted, energetic women who loved life!
