Diana, Bob, Jake, Katie,
We are deeply sorry to hear of your loss and know that no words can make the pain go away. As a family with experience of losing a son and brother, it does not get any easier, but you learn to live with the pain. Although we did not know him well, Ben left behind many friends and memories and will never be forgotten. Try to find positives in this tragic situation and be there for each other, let it bring you closer together not tear you apart. Know that you are in our prayers and god is with you.

To Bens family
I too lost a son way too early....please take all the help, love and support from family members and friends. IT DOES HELP. BUT as a mom who lost a son, everyone says it gets easier, I BEG TO DIFFER, but it gets more tolerable. There is not a morning I wake or a night I go to sleep I don't think of my son.
There is not a day that goes by that his name is not meniton, or a memory of him. I just wish i could reach out ONE MORE TIME to touch/hug him
MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY.

Let me first start with this..I didn't know Ben long.. but the times I've had with him were always fun and awesome.. I am very sorry for your loss.. i express my deepest sympathy to all of hhis family and friends.. Think not of him as gone... but as being freed from the chains of mortality, now destined live in a realm much better than our own. But if you ever think about him imagine him as your fondest memories individually.. he survives throughout those and you're smiles... Ben would have wanted that right? He always in our hearts and memories.. God has called him back to his kingdom.. and he will wait to see you again.. but until then, his memory is everlasting and hold it dear.

Dearest "Di",

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your family. I was given the following by a stranger after a loss, she said just believe in what it says........." I'll lend you for a little while a child of mine," God said "For you to love the while he lives and mourn for when he's gone. He'll bring his charms to gladden you, and should his stay be brief you'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief." Di,keep your memories close to your heart. Your families strength will help you through this most difficult time. We will continue to pray for all of you, and keep you in our thoughts.

Love,

Dear Diane, Bob, Jake and Katie,
Our family has truly been touched by Ben!
Not only was he a great friend to Greg, but your entire family has become so special to us...
I will not forget the last time that I saw Ben...I was congratulating him on his recent Graduation. I extended my hand and he said, "No, Mrs. Lorch, I want a hug"!
That is Ben, warm, smiling with a twinkle in his eye...
We are here for all of you.
When we lost our Kelly, it was the love and friendship of so many family members and friends from the Avonworth area that encouraged us to heal...in time.
Ben lives on in all of our hearts and in the lives that your family has so lovingly helped.
Let God carry you in this most difficult time...

To Ben's Beloved Family,

As we read over these condolences, we see clearly that Ben was loved by many. We are two of them, and so our hearts grieve with yours for a loss so great.

What words can comfort you? If we had them, we would offer them, but there are no words that can do such a thing.

And so, all we can do is ask that you are provided with comfort that does not come from earthly source.

"May the peace of God that passes all understanding, keep your heart, and guard your mind, in Jesus."

While the loss of a loved one is never easy, even when anticipated, it is certainly harder when they are taken from us too soon. Your recent loss of Ben, who has left us at such a youthful age is certainly in the category of losses for which words are inadequate.

Our family offers our sincere condolence and deepest sympathy.

May knowing your loss is felt by many, help you through this difficult time.

May God's blessings be on you and your family. May His strength help you find the courage to move forward in peace and confidence, in knowing that Ben's was a life well-lived.

From 1 Cor 13; "At present we see indistinctly, as in a mirror, but then face to face. At present I know partially; then I shall know fully, as I am fully known.
So faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love."

July 20, 2009

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
