Surrounded by his loving family, Santos V. Cantu, age 86, passed away February 21, 2016. Santos moved to Cowiche in 1956 where he met the love of his life, Nickie. They were both working for Golden Farms in the hop fields. He then was employed by Keller Fruit where he worked for over 40 years before retiring at the age of 74. Santos was known as a sweet, loving, hard-working man.

Santos was born in Rio Bravo, Mexico to Marcos and Elvira Cantu on 1-13-1930. Santos is survived by his loving and devoted wife Nickie of 58 years. His children Javie (Tammy), Jaime (Linda), Alma (Rob), Santos Jr, Rick (Raquel), Jaime (Marlene) and by his many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends. He is also survived by brother Marcos and sister Lina. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Manuel, Jose, Aristeo, Andrea, Elvita, Lupe, and Juana.

Santos had the love of the outdoors, working in his garden and taking care of his lawn. He also loved to work on the many projects for his grandchildren. You would often find dad outside working on one project or another.

There will be visitation from 4pm to 8pm at Keith and Keith with a vigil starting at 7pm on Thursday, February 25th. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Church at 10am with Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Father Michael Brzezowski will be officiating.
