Mr Corwin was one of the kindest souls I ever met I graduated in wchs 2010 and he always motivated me to do good in school during my time there. I sometimes think about my former teachers and how they are doing. I want to than Mr Corwin for helping me transition from a teenager to a young man and gave me a lot of positive life advice I still hold through this day. I first knew Scott as the father of one of my daughter, Kaytee´s, best friends! He was so kind and supportive of his family! When I learned he was the head of a private school for children with learning disabilities, I knew I wanted to get to know him better! When I was ready to begin teaching again, after having taken 12 years off to raise my own children, Scott welcomed me into the Pace family! He had faith in my teaching abilities and I continued to grow as a teacher, under his guidance. I remember going to school on several Saturdays, to prepare for the upcoming week, and I would find Scott there as well! He would be doing everything from working in his office to pulling weeds on campus! No job was beneath him. I felt a real sadness when he left Pace, as he had become more than just a boss, he had become my friend. Rest in Peace, dear friend. You have earned your heavenly reward!
Nancy, you and the girls and their families, are in my thoughts and prayers.

I had just started highschool at Lake Mary high. The classes were rigorous and immensely difficult. Although I tried my best within only a few short months I decided I wanted to quit school. That is when my mom suggested I attend PACE. When I walked into the office I was greeted by Scott. His gentle smile warmed my heart and it was than that I realized I had found home. Scott was very kind hearted. He was always there whether it was providing guidance or even a tender hug on a rough day. My condolences to the Corwin family. I want you to know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Scott will always hold a special place in your hearts and in all the lives of the people he touched. May he rest in peace and may the Lord bring peace and healing to your family and to all who were privileged to know such a beautiful soul.

My deepest sympathies to the Corwin family. I truly enjoyed his friendship at WCHS. He always had a big smile and made a point to shake my hand every time he saw me and we´d chat about life. He truly had a passion for life and loved the students. Just before the hurricane that kept us out of school, I gave him a a huge handshake and made him promise that he´d stay safe.
I´ll miss his smile, handshakes and positive energy. Rest in price my friend.

For the short time I knew Mr. Corwin, he was my mentor, friend, and school grandfather.
He was there for me, helping navigate high school. It was amazing how he would interact with his students making us feel like whole people.
He inspired me to be a better person and to help others. He helped me apply and go to university.
My teachers felt that he was like their work dad, and then that makes him my school grandfather. He was a friend and mentor to us all.
To Mr Corwin´s family, I will never forget him. I feel fortunate to have known him in my high school career. Wesley Chapel High School will never be the same. His legacy will live on forever.

Scott, Shown here as the principal and occasional impromptu teacher of PACE SCHOOL in Longwood, FL. Our son, Nick is standing in the lower left corner, circa 1996-1997. We have fond memories of those years and the friendships that still remain. Scott was the conduit for initiating the mentorship and lifelong friendship of his oldest daughter, Allyson and our son Nick. We will forever be grateful for this introduction. Nick soared under the guidance of Allyson and her strong Corwin influences. She continues to hold a very special place in our hearts going on 28 years. We shall hold on to our memories of this lovely man.

I'm fortunate to have known Scott, and am continually inspired to be a better teacher / parent / friend / daughter / mother because of him. He reminded us all that we belong to one another, and took the time to connect with individuals including his students, their parents, and his colleagues. He was a father to so many of us at Wesley Chapel High School, and his concern stretched beyond the school campus.
Over the years we chaperoned proms, attended graduations, field trips, trainings, and also shared in each other's lives outside of work. After a long school day, I could count on him for an understanding and encouraging smile as I stopped by his classroom before heading home for the day. His perspective was rightly focused on people and he fought hard to not be distracted by what pulled educators away from staying in relationship with our students, each other, and the community. He cared so much about people and was a constant encourager.
Even in the last week of his life, he was wishing my family well and sharing education articles and professional videos with me. His work was never done, and will never be done as those who love him continue on inspired by his legacy to connect with one another and focus on what truly matters.

Scott Corwin was my principal at Pace private school. Scott took over for Mary Dunn and did an amazing job at running the school.
Pace private school was a school for kids with learning disabilities. Scott always was a kind soul. Took his time with each student.

From the very first time I met Scott in the UK I found him to be one of the nicest, most caring, genuine, generous and understanding men I´ve ever met in my long 79 yrs of life. There are no words really
I loved his sense of fun and humour and I can still hear his laugh . He must have been a wonderful teacher - I know I would have loved a teacher like Scott! We always looked forward to meeting up with Scott and Nancy and I will treasure our chats our conversations during long dog walks.
I feel honoured to have been a very small part of Scott´s life.
R.I.P dear friend. God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Scott was a great friend, mentor, colleague, and teacher. I learned a lot from him like how to be patient, friendly, and open to learning new things everyday. Most importantly, he helped me how to stay calm, positive, and confident through challenging situations at work. Because of this, I am able to be grateful for every opportunity and learning experience that I come across. I will forever remember his impact in my life.

His presence at school already missed so much by so many. I worked with him for 13 years and in that time was able to learn so much from him. Especially patience with difficult students and most importantly how to build rapport with all students in a meaningful way by looking past whats on the outside and seeing all they are on the inside. Heaven has a gained a true angel. Until we meet again ...

Heaven is a whole lot brighter now that you´ve arrived. I am so grateful to you in so very many ways. My teaching career would not have been the same without you as my friend, my work dad, my daily light bringer. You always knew when I needed a kind word or a compliment & you supplied them endlessly. You always knew how to make me laugh, even when I was in the midst of a cryfest. You had my back no matter what like no other. Anytime I needed anything, you showed up with even more than I expected.
Together, we made a dynamically devoted team. Without you, many seniors would have never walked across that stage. There are not many people on this earth like you. You were my daily marigold & I will never forget you. I have so many letters, cards, and gifts to remember you by, but the greatest gift you ever gave me was the gift of your friendship. Rest peacefully my dearest friend. Until we can share a cup of sausage lentil soup together again, I´ll be missing you & loving you from down here. Xoxo

For all that I want to say about Scott, I´ll just leave it to the school conduct and not into details about our personal, deep conversations on life and faith and the many troubles of this world. To say that he had a passion for educating and mentoring young people would be a great understatement. Scott would always take time to see me in my room and have little bits of banter during my lessons and make sure to include the students in on our conversations so they wouldn´t feel left out. He always thought people needed to talk more together, and I don´t think I ever heard him say a mean word about a single person . I truly miss him.

Hi, Mr. Corwin was always so gentle and kind, he technically wasn´t my teacher but i was always in his classroom with him. I took one test in his classroom because I couldn´t focus on math class at all, I was failing and so behind I didn´t even know if I could graduate. I definitely didn´t have any motivation to graduate I was very close to getting thrown in a portable all year but of course Mr. Corbin being amazing brought me in and for the rest of the year I was in his classroom, he helped me so much gave me motivation showed me I could do it. I had so many lectures from him about life and about how I should go about things, I would always ask him for advice about all sorts of things not just about school he always listened and always would humble me if I needed it! He could always see into the future because things me and him talked about, has happened he was so smart so diligent and I felt was the only teacher who actually cared for me. He was also so funny he would always try to force me to eat his celery with peanut butter and I hated and still hate celery. Thank you Mr. Corwin you will be missed by so many and thank you for believing in me and so many others you really made a huge impact in not only my life but thousands of kids, Rest in peace. To the family of Mr. Corwin i am very sorry for your loss and I hope you can find peace in your grief through this troubling time, he was amazing!! Be safe.

Scott was a wonderful person. He would always greet me in the morning with a smile and kind words. I called him the keeper of our hallway. He always made sure the hallway was taken care of including all the people that worked in the hall. Thank you, Scott. You were a a kind person to know. I miss seeing you every day.

Scott was so welcoming to me when I got the football head coach position at Wesley chapel. Every time I saw him he would ask me how I was and ask about my personal life and say what a great job I was doing as a coach and father. He was one of a kind. A genuine and nice person which is extremely hard to find these days. I would often see him looking for a student to make sure he got them caught up or on track. He was one hell of an educator and helped so many struggling students with exceptional needs to realize and complete their goals. The world needs more Scott Corwins! Until we meat again Corwin... - coach Egan
