WHITLOCK, SHARIF M. SR. 36 - of Mays Landing, passed away Monday, June 7, 2010 in Sicklerville. He leaves to cherish his memory: children, Ashayla Marie Barbour and Sharif Markece Whitlock, Jr.; mother, Sandra Whitlock-Freeman, stepfather, Rufus Freeman; special father, Isiah Dagget; brothers, Raymond, Kevin (Fatumah) and Frederick Whitlock; sister, Saleema Whitlock-Barnes (Jamar); grandmother, Elaine Carraway; god-grandmother, Iona Morrison; and a host of other family and friends. Sharif was predeceased by: maternal grandmother, Anna R. Whitlock; grandfather, Frederick Carraway; step-grandfather, Allen Whitlock, Sr. Funeral services will be Noon, Monday, June 14, 2010, All Wars Memorial Building, New York & Adriatic Avenues, Atlantic City, where friends may call from 11 AM. Arrangements entrusted to Greenidge Funeral Homes, Inc., Atlantic City.

We have two families that's grieving, we have love ones that will never be forgotten. I know we're all caught up in our emotions but eventually everyone will move on and go about their lives just remember who's left behind. It takes a village to raise a child and that's how we show our love to the ones that passed on by taking care of this child. This is for all family, friends etc... It's Adriane, Sharif. It kills me. As of right now, I don't see a way that I can make it to Atlantic City to come to your wake/funeral. I expected it, but I did pray that for some reason it would be here. I will try to get there. I WON'T EVER forget anything about you. I won't ever forget anything we talked about/planned. Our feelings were mutual. You taught me so much. You were a very strong man, Sharif. I don't know what to do without you, love. I am still and will always be in love with you. I will think of you every day-forever. Your spirit/legend lives on. We love you in this city and I love you dearly. It is TOO hard for me to let go.
