Jacobs, Shawn Edward June 10, 2016 beloved husband of the late Alice Jacobs; dear father and father-in-law of Derek (Cheryl), Trisha and Chad (Dana) Jacobs; dear grandfather of Foster, Kendall and Marissa Jacobs, Amelie and Aria Jacobs; dear brother and brother-in-law of Anita (Raymond) Zavack and Marlene (John) Hooper; dear brother-in-law of Mari (Barry) Tepper and Lynda (the late Dan) Mudd; our dear uncle, cousin and friend.

Mr. Jacobs was the founder and operator of Cicero's Restaurant in the Delmar Loop for over 40 years.

Graveside service Tuesday, June 14th 10:30 AM at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery-White Road. Memorial contributions preferred to Congregation Shaare Emeth, 11645 Ladue Road, 63141 or the charity of your choice.

From Shawn's 88 year old Aunt LaVerne

"Oh Shawnee what happend? I was devastated over the news The last time we talked a few months ago we did the usual kvetching about aches and pains, but I had no idea how bad things were to get.Even though I'm your aunt and just 14 years older than you I have so many great memories of you growing up. You and everyone else thought you were so rough and tough, but those of us that knew you well...knew better.Thank God Alice came along and calmed you down too.I remember having your wedding reception at our house and the 4 of us going to Daytona Beach back in the 60s like it was yesterday.You worked hard, raised a wonderful family, became very successful and now you're back where you started..with your lovely Alice.
I can't thank you enough for bringing the family down here to Florida to visit a couple of years ago..and seeing how proud you were of the whole bunch.I'll miss our phone calls and long talks about life in general. You weren't just my nephew, but one of my best friends over all the years...and I will miss you Shawnee..rest in peace sweet guy.

My condolences to the entire family. What a man! I met Shawn very early on in my career in the Liquor business. I always looked so forward to seeing him on my weekly route. It was like going to see family. My heart goes out to all of you at this sad time. Just know that he will be remembered fondly by so many. All my thoughts and prayers for kind and thoughtful memories.

I met Shawn as a 15 year boy 45 years ago when I started working at pampered palate.
He remained a mentor and friend in buisness and general life thru out all these years.
