Shirley Capizzo Obituary
Born on September 14, 1938, in Detroit, MI, Shirley was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Capizzo. Loving mother of the late Deborah (Ron) Lanzon, Anthony (Susan) Capizzo, Todd (Linda) Capizzo, and Dawn Grant. She was the adored grandmother of Anthony, Paul, Nicolette, Amanda, Samantha, Michael, Alyssa, Brian, and Delaney, and the cherished great-grandmother of five.
Shirley was the devoted daughter of the late William F. and Elsie (née George) Howard, and dear sister of the late Iris (the late William) Bowers, the late Barbara (the late William) Lindblom, Kathleen Essian, and the late William F. Jr. (Pauline) Howard. She was a fond aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Shirley grew up in Detroit and moved to Warren with her husband Tony in 1984. Together, they founded Capizzo Construction in 1967, where Shirley served as the office manager until her retirement in 2024. She took great pride in her family, loved cooking for those she loved, and found joy in her garden.
A private memorial is planned.
