Shirley Hamilton Obituary
Shirley Morse Hamilton, a lifelong resident of Joliet, passed away on March 12, 2015, at the age of 92.
Survived by her children, Marsha C. (Bruce) Hamilton, Janet (Robert) Stevens, Howard J. (Kristen) Hamilton and Helen (Brian) Pohlman; grandchildren, Robert M. (Amy) Hamilton, Patricia (Brian) MacDonald, C. Brice McCaw, Dale (Michelle) McCaw, Kirk (Rachel) McCaw, Aileen, Sean and Richard Hamilton, Trenton, Mitchell and Claire Pohlman; great-grandchildren, Sydney and Colin MacDonald, Robert Nolan and Brooks Hamilton; sister, Janet (Harold) Clinton and sister-in-law, Priscilla (William) Morse; as well as many nieces and nephews who dearly loved her.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Hamilton; and son, Robert Bruce Hamilton; parents, Howard and Mabelle (Nobes) Morse; and brother, William Morse.
Her proudest accomplishments included her family, co-founding Robert E. Hamilton Consulting Engineers Inc., and her service to Silver Cross Hospital through Celebrity Spotlight and The Encore Shop, as well as various other service organizations. In her late 80's, Shirley also wrote two books detailing her family's history.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
For those who wish, memorial donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice, Silver Cross Foundation, or charity of choice would be appreciated.

Know that my thoughts and prayers go out for you and your family. Shirley was a wonderful gift to SIlver Cross with her caring service. I always enjoyed my time with her and will miss her greatly
