March 25, 1938-December 30, 2015 Shirley was born March 25, 1938 in Regina Saskatchewan. She passed away on December 30 2015 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

She was predeceased by her parents Arthur June 16,1980 and Emma (Schmidt) December 28, 1993. With her sister passing April 8, 2016 her family now consists of her children and grandchildren.

Shirley is servived by her son Garry (Marcia) and daughter Sandra (Kevin) Daugherty, grandsons Cameron Steadman and Jaremy Daugherty, granddaughters Aerien and Kathleen Steadman along with her children's father Mervyn Steadman.

She lived in Calgary for over 40 years.

Memorial services will be held Saturday August 20, 2016 at 12:30 p.m.

Mrs. Steadman will remain in my memories as one of the nicest, most sincere, soft spoken, and strong woman I have ever had the pleasure of meeting in my life. One of my first memories was being a child at a party in her basement in Dalhousie. Although we were new to the community I felt welcome and I felt like I belonged. She was always lovely and friendly to my brother, John, and my mom and I. She will be dearly missed. My most sincere condolences and prayers of comfort go out to Mrs. Steadman's family and friends.
