Shirley MacKinnon Obituary

Shirley Mae MacKinnon passed away peacefully at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, Florida on September 21, 2022. She was born August 16, 1934 to Janet and Clifford Tucker of Bellefontaine, Ohio. Shirley loved her family and made friends wherever she went with her beautiful smile and bright blue eyes. She will be missed by many.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Bev Miller, sister and brother in law Betty and Pat (Paul) Beatty, sister in law and brother in law June and Buddy Coughlin, and son in law Charlie Ferrell.

Shirley spent most of her adult life in the Central Ohio area and she is survived by her husband of 44 years, John MacKinnon with whom she retired to Winter Haven, Florida in 2001. In addition, she is survived by her children Becky Bowling (Mark Wilson) of Columbus, OH, Cheri Ferrell of Charleston, WV, Paul MacKinnon of Gahanna, OH, Doug Miller of Carrollton, OH, Chris Miller of Bellefontaine, OH, Steve MacKinnon of French Lick, IN and Lori Zeisloft (Don) of Stow, OH, and her cousin Marlene Compton of Gahanna, OH.

Her grandchildren were the light of her life and will keep her memory alive. They are Jeff Lytle (Heather) of Blacklick, OH, Kelly Lytle of Columbus, OH, Steve Miller of Carrollton, OH, Sammy Miller of Pataskala, OH, and Nick MacKinnon of French Lick, Indiana. Her great-grandchildren are Alex, Julia, Peyton, Greyson, Jefferey, Jayke, James, and Alexander with a great-great grandson on his way.

A private celebration of life will be held December 26, 2022 in Columbus.
