One of the most fondest memories I have of Dr. Stewart would happen over and over each day as he would come through the front door and be greeted with such excitement by Kim, Steph, Kala and Marc. It was like he had been gone on a long trip. Boy, what a treasure of a dad he was. He will deeply be missed. Prayers to all.

Stewart Family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. While I haven't seen Sid in many years, he was a big part of my childhood and memories of him will live on forever. I remember Sid, the beekeeper; he loved his precious bees and the entire honey making process. To this day, I can scoop insects out of a pool without harming them. Another memory is Saturday mornings at the Stewart house; Sid would come in and announce that breakfast was ready. He loved trying to pass off buckwheat pancakes as the healthier alternative to the buttermilk variety. I'm ashamed to admit, that I don't think I ever even took a bite. Lastly, each evening when the car door would close signaling Sid's return from work, Kim, Kala, Steph and Marc would stop what ever it was that we were doing and run to greet him yelling, “Daddy's home, Daddy's home.” I remember thinking what's the big deal he had just been at work, but that didn't matter to the kids, they greeted him in the evenings like they hadn't seen him for months. He returned their affection with a big bear hug and his huge smile.
I hope that each of you has abundant memories of this special man.
Love to you all-

When I think of Dr. Stewart I remember a big man with a big
voice who was not afraid to dance for us upstairs in their house on Lostridge...and of course the car...Travelall...coolest car ever though we did not know it at the time! I hope that Victoria, Kim, Stephanie, Kala and Marc can always find a reason to smile when they remember their Dad...I will know I will when I look back on the great times in my childhood.

Doctor Sid Stewart, MD, surely added collegiality and medical expertise to our physician community. He was always generous with his time in sharing and, more importantly, reviewing pathology reports with the Doctor. His memory will live on. R.I.P.

So sad for your loss. He was a great guy. I was supervisor at Seton Histology and worked with Dr. Stewart for many years. Penny Flowers and I talked this morning about our memories of him - we laughed and cried. He touched our lifes. I know when my daughter was sick soon after I started at Seton and had no insurance yet he personally helped her - getting her the care she needed wthout cost. He always had a great sense of humor and kept us hopping. May God comfort you Judy and all the children and family. He will not be forgotten.
