Sigrid Morris Obituary
The family will receive friends from five until six o'clock in the evening on Saturday, October 14, 2017 in the Rotunda of Philadelphia Presbyterian Church with service to follow at six o'clock in the main sanctuary of the church.
Sigrid was born February 21, 1938 in Berlin, Germany to the late William Ninnemann and Karoline Herta Gertrude Ninnemann.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Hermon Morris, Sr. and sister Dr. Ruth Walsh.
Sigrid had a career in bookkeeping at Industrial Electric Co. for forty plus years. She was a member of Eastern Star and Philadelphia Presbyterian Church and had a passion for gardening.
Sigrid was a devoted wife and mother. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Dr. Theodore H. "Ted" Morris, Jr. of Mint Hill; daughter Audrey M. White of Concord; and five grandchildren, Allison, Cameron and Meredith Morris, and Christopher and Bradley White.
As her son it was an honor and a privilege to be by her side as she passed into the Lord's hands. She loved her family. She emphasized throughout our lives the need for higher education with a drive to work hard, so that hopefully we could help others and make a difference in the world in which we live.
The family would like to recognize the wonderful care Sigrid received from her caregivers; Lela Martin, Meredith Thomas, Teresa Thomas, and Zach Thomas, who helped her live her last months with grace and dignity; and to Hospice for their special care and skills during her final days of life.
Memorials may be made to the Zebulon and Rena Mae Morris Historical Cemetery Fund, c/o Philadelphia Presbyterian Church, 11501 Bain School Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227.

Sigrid and I have been friends since we met through fellowship in the Oasis Shrine Patrol and the Berlin Veterans Association. Love them both dearly. Sigrid was a beautiful lady and will be missed. May God be with her family during this difficult time.

I send you my deepest sympathy as you grieve the loss of your mother. I completely understand how you are feeling as I lost my mother a week before on Sept 29. We both will feel lost for a while but we know where they are and we know they are at peace. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts & prayers.
