FERRES, SILVIA "NONA", 82, of Pasadena died on September 28, 2011 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Silvia was born in 1929 in Trieste, Italy. She worked for 15 years at Maryland Paper Box. Silvia was a member of the Glen Burnie Moose and volunteered at Genesis Elder Care on Hammonds Ferry Road. She enjoyed playing poker, going to the casino, knitting, bingo and going to her grandkids sporting events. Silvia donated her life to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diana Lynn Ferres. She is survived by five children, Walter Ferres and his wife Lorraine, Barbara Barath and her husband Larry, Donna Ferres and her significant other Roxann, Debra Butcher, and Glenn Ferres and his wife Rosa; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Gathering will be held at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 2nd Avenue, SW (at Crain Highway) Glen Burnie on Sunday, October 2nd from 2-3 PM where a Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 3 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Tate Cancer Center, 301 Hospital Drive, Glen Burnie, MD 21061. The family would like to recognize and give thanks to Dr. Roxann Sangiacomo for her dedication to the care of Ms. Ferres health. For more information, please visit www.singletonfuneralhome.com

Nona will be missed! She touched so many lives. My children have lost thier grandmother whom they loved with all their hearts, but we will keep her memory alive and forever have her in our hearts. Rest in peace Nona - Love Rosa your daughter-in-law
