Sixto B. Silva, 88, born in Cuidad Miguel Aleman, Tamps., Mexico, to Leocadio and Silveria Silva, passed away September 29, 2014. He married the love of his life, San Juanita Botello, in McAllen, Texas on May 2, 1949. Together, they attended St. Patricks Catholic Church. Sixto was a member of the Carpenter's Local 213 and was also involved in the Civics and Socia Affairsl. Sixto is preceded in death by his sisters and brothers: Felipa Garza Silva, Elisa Barrera Alaniz Silva, Francisco Silva Garcia, and Manuel Silva.
Left to cherish his precious memories, sisters: Vicenta Salinas Silva and Guadalupe Silva Cantu; daughters: Ellie Berry widow of Mike Berry, Sylvia Black and spouse Terry Black, Yolanda Silva Salinas and spouse Jose D. Salinas, Blanca Alicia Franco and spouse Jose Rene Franco I; son: Sixto Silva Jr.; grandchildren: Jessica Walsh and spouse James Walsh, Michael Berry and spouse April Berry, Cristina Marie Black, Patricia Reyna, Jose Luis Reyna and spouse Irma Diaz, David Reyna and spouse Robyn Russell, Tracy Rodriguez and spouse Raymundo Rodriguez, Joshua Ryan Franco, Jonathan Rey Franco, Jose Rene Franco II, and Vanessa Renee Silva; great-grandchildren: Michael Jacob Sandoval and spouse Courtney Sandoval, Elias Miguel Sandoval, Sandra Natalia Rangel and spouse Ivan Rangel, Baby Walsh, Meghan Alexis Sandoval, Sabrina M. Sandoval, Marci Patricia Sandoval, Kaleb Christian Berry, Christopher Mikkel Montalvo, and Joel Nicolas Montalvo; great-great-grandchildren: Wimberly Aurora Sandoval, Eileen Elena Rangel, Avery June Montalvo, Christopher Alexander Montalvo, and Baby Sandoval. Sixto is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends. He will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The Meals on Wheels or The Houston Food Bank.
